Wan-Rong Tseng is a New York–based dancer and choreographer from Taiwan. Her work transforms personal stories and emotions into movement, creating immersive experiences that connect deeply with audiences. She performs across stages, in dance films, and collaborative projects, bringing curiosity, sensitivity, and presence to every piece.
Brandy Brown (she/her) is a trans NYC-based dancer, choreographer, and activist. She is currently an apprentice with the Isadora Duncan Dance Company, and a graduate of the Martha Graham School in the Advanced Studies Program for Performance. Brandy has danced for singer/song-wrtier Rachel Platten in the Macy’s Day Parade, performed with Graham 2 on several occasions, modeled Batsheva Hay’s fashion in Vogue Runway magazine, understudied for Suzzanne Ponomarenko Dance, and has performed at notable venues in NYC such as The Joyce Theatre multiple times. She is a graduate of UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor's degree in Dance and Women's and Gender Studies and has performed works by Isadora Duncan, Martha Graham, Darshan Singh Bhuller, Bradley Shelver, George Faison, Aidan Carberry, Kim Jones, Virginie Mecene, Lori Belilove, and Daniel Fetecua. Her own work has been presented in NYC at the Arts On Site “Performance Party”, Mason Lee Dance Theatre’s “The AMPLIFY Series”, and for NC companies such as Adrianna Eve Company. Brandy has also trained under master teachers such as Debbie Allen, Rosangela Silvestre, and Matilde Demarchi. She has received scholarships to train and perform internationally at the Arkè Danza school in Turin, Italy, the American College Dance Association’s Nationals, and the Martha Graham School Summer Intensive. Brandy is an annual guest speaker at UNCSA High School and the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies-South, presenting her work on the lived experiences of trans women in the dance world. Her work also includes the documentation of trans artists in the modern dance lineage and exposing concert dance to trans bodies. Brandy aims to pave the path for future artists like herself by being the representation that is lacking in the performing arts field for young queer dancers.
Melanie Holm, MANX Artistic Director, is a soprano, dancer, and choreographer reframing opera through a movement-driven lens. She recently completed artist residencies at Bearnstow (Mount Vernon, Maine) and Moulin Belle (Mareuil en Perigord, France), and presented Three Women/One Body, her dance/opera fusion work featuring arias by Handel, Mozart, and Bellini, at The Tank. Recently, she has been featured in interdisciplinary opera/dance projects with the Brooklyn Motion Capture Dance Ensemble, and showcased her choreographed take on Jake Heggie's Eve Song with Take Root at Green Space, produced by Green Space Studios. With her signature choreographed operatic works, Melanie has made a name for herself throughout New York City, where her work has been featured at National Sawdust, Triskelion Arts, GreenSpace, Bridge for Dance, SMUSH Gallery, and in guest appearances with Borne Dance Company and Reaction Dance Company. She is also a member of Your Faithful Reader, an experimental theatre company, where she has been featured as an actor, dancer, and writer.
Kayla Laufer is a contemporary dancer, choreographer, and technologist whose work explores the intersections of movement, sound, and code. She holds a BFA in Dance from Johns Hopkins Peabody Conservatory and an M.S. in Computer Science from Fordham University. In 2024, she was selected for the Jacob’s Pillow ChoreoTech Lab, where she integrated AI and AR into her choreographic practice. Kayla is a company dancer and rehearsal director with Eryc Taylor Dance and has performed with Chris Ferris & Dancers, Chutzpah Dance Company, Vivake Khamsingsavath, and others. She received the 2024 Eryc Taylor New Choreographer Grant and has presented work at venues including the Martha Graham Studio Theater, Young Choreographers Festival, Bloom Emerging Artist Festival, and Koresh Artist Showcase. She is also the co-founder of Melody in Motion, a collaborative project blending dance and live music.
Anna Jarboe is a violinist and violist with experience as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer across the United States and internationally. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance from Mannes School of Music and is currently pursuing a Professional Performer Certificate at Penn State University, while actively performing as a substitute with professional orchestras.
Anna Jarboe
